English Tutor in Singapore
English Tutor in Singapore
At Creative Campus, we pride ourselves on having teachers who are experienced and
trained to teach English, not just to speak it.
Our teachers average over 15 years of experience, and each teacher brings his own experience to
enliven the class.
Class sizes stay small, so every student gets
individual feedback and guidance during the lesson. Written work is
marked and returned within a week of submission, with personalised feedback each time.

Where Our Classes Are Held
We teach at two centres in Singapore and all classes are hybridised. Both centres run the same curriculum with the same teachers, so choose on travel time rather than on programme.
- Campus Orchard – 545 Orchard Road, #14-07/08 Far East Shopping Centre, Singapore 238882.
- Campus East – 80 Marine Parade Road, #14-06 Parkway Parade, Singapore 449269.
Online English Tuition
From Primary 3 upwards, students can join the same class online instead of travelling in.
Kindergarten, Primary 1 and Primary 2 classes are held in person only, because students that age
need an adult beside them to stay on task at a screen.
Online students are taught by the same teacher as the students in the room, follow the same
curriculum and get the same marked feedback, so a week away or a clash with a school commitment
does not cost them the lesson.

Every facet of her classes, from insightful news sharings to stimulating classroom material, was designed to challenge and cultivate our appreciation for literature and language. She inspired us to view the world through a broader, more critical lens. Ms. Chew's feedback was consistently sharp and enlightening, aiding me in refining the structure and articulation of my arguments.”

Frequently Asked Questions
Some of our teachers are MOE-trained, including Ms Anne Lee, who holds a BA in Education from NIE and previously taught in MOE schools, and Mrs Elizabeth Yeo, one of our founding directors, who taught in MOE schools before starting Creative Campus. Others hold teaching qualifications such as the CELTA from the University of Cambridge, or specialist certification such as Orton-Gillingham. Every teacher works from the MOE syllabus regardless of where they trained.
There is no single best English tutor, since the right fit depends on the student's level, their weakest paper and how they learn. Look for someone with a teaching qualification rather than only a degree, ask which levels they currently teach, and confirm the same teacher takes the class all year. At Creative Campus, our teachers average over 15 years of experience and are passionate about helping students speak and write with confidence.
English tutor rates in Singapore depend on the tutor's experience, the level being taught and whether lessons are one to one or in a group, with rates rising as students approach O-Level and A-Level. At Creative Campus, we teach in small groups and prices start from $83 per lesson before GST. If you would like to see a lesson before committing, you can enquire about our trial class package.
An English tutor is worth it when the same mistakes keep costing marks and school lessons are not resolving them. Tuition is less useful when the issue is effort or reading habit, which marked work alone will not fix. English is more than just another school subject; it is the language through which students learn and are assessed across other subjects. A strong foundation helps students understand questions, grasp key concepts and communicate their ideas clearly.
A good English tutor knows the syllabus and paper format for the level being taught, including how marks are awarded and where students at that stage commonly lose them. Marking matters too, since recurring mistakes only get picked up when written work is read carefully. Beyond that, look for someone who still enjoys the subject, because students can tell the difference between a teacher working through material and one who wants them to understand it.
