Ms Chua's interest in teaching was ignited when, at the age of 19, she became the relief form
teacher of a Primary Five class for six months before entering university. Upon graduation,
however, she took up positions in staff training and development; oversaw editorials and
newsletters; and wrote board papers.
With her vast experience in various enrichment programmes for both the public and private
schools, Ms Chua has helped many of her charges excel under her tutelage. Her interest and
passion for the language remains the driving force behind her students' stellar essays.
What Our Educator Says
Every child placed in my charge is unique and is my responsibility. I enjoy working with my students to increase their competencies. I find immense satisfaction when a child, whom no one believes in, manage to attain high score under my tutelage. With the right motivation and teaching strategies, every child can excel. But, more than that, it is my aim to inculcate in them a love for the English language and a passion for learning beyond the school curriculum.
