After receiving her 1st Enid Blyton novel as a birthday gift from her English tutor, Ms Chia Sihan grew into an avid lifelong reader. A former magazine journalist and content marketer, Ms Chia finds reading instrumental to writing well as it enables young minds to draw on their innate curiosity and develop a more holistic perspective in their writing. With a background in media and digital marketing, she encourages her students to adopt a journalistic mindset while utilising a wide array of tools and tactics when tackling new topics.

I’m mindful that every student learns in unique ways and at their own pace, and my aim is to help students unleash their hidden potential. Apart from private tutoring and teaching online and enrichment classes, I have taught basic English as a volunteer teacher to underprivileged children in Southeast Asia. This gave me a newfound appreciation of the English language and how it connects diverse parts of society together.
