Education has been Ms Han’s lifeblood for more than 20 years. With a background in professional writing as a fresh undergraduate, she ventured into teaching after discovering the greater love within her role as a volunteer tutor at the Chinese Development Assistance Council (CDAC). Her majors in double English and her Honours thesis on Children’s Literature completed at the National University of Singapore stood her in good stead for this career change. She has gone on since to teach in schools across Singapore after her training at the National Institute of Education (NIE). From the junior college General Paper curriculum to the Integrated Programme and the O Level syllabus, including the International Baccalaureate (Middle Year and Diploma Programme), Ms Han has accompanied her numerous batches of students through them all.

Ms Han joins the ranks of leading tutors at Creative Campus to pilot our International Baccalaureate (IB) programme in Literature. She received her IBO certification in 2012 and has been teaching the programme to students from then, on top of a repertoire that includes the primary and Gifted Education Programme (GEP) levels of English to the ‘A’ Levels General Paper. She brings a vast experience and a solidity that will not only anchor learners, but also encourage the muse in them to emerge, so that students can truly embrace learning the subject.
